Multi-Purpose Buildings
Development of Qatar University Higher Administration Building
Client: Qatar University
Completion Date: Expected October 2023
Renovation of QU Higher Administration Building with a massive undertaking that aims to upgrade the entire facility using the latest technology. The project encompasses a complete overhaul of the building’s infrastructure, from wiring and plumbing to the installation of modern energy-efficient systems. The renovation also includes the use of cutting-edge materials to enhance the building’s aesthetic appeal and functionality, such as glass walls that allow for ample natural light and ventilation. Additionally, the project involves the incorporation of smart building technology, such as automated lighting and temperature control systems, to improve energy efficiency and create a more comfortable working environment. The end result will be a state-of-the-art facility that is not only visually appealing but also highly functional and environmentally sustainable with 3 star GSAS.
NISHAN TOWER (4B +G+3P+24F )

Completion Date: Expected August 2023
High rise building (4B+G+27) with a total built up area of 67,908.6 m² Core & Shell type.
Mechanical Scopes
- ETS Room with total cooling capacity 1500 TR (4 Heat Exchanger) feeding and suppling 4 FAHU, 1 of AHU, 56 FCU’s and 100 rent areas for future connection.
- Ventilation System with 95 Smoke Ventilation and Pressurization Fans serving 4 basement floors with CO System and staircases.
- Complete Grey Water System with 95 M3/day including pump station, distribution network and tanks along with various types of domestic & submersible pumps.
- Firefighting System with 1000 GPM @ 20 Bar Fire Pumps and 15 FM 200 Rooms.
Electrical Scopes
- Supply of Switchgear Package for MV Panels, 2 transformers 1,600 KVA in addition to 900 meters Busbar with different capacity from 1,000 to 2,500 Ampere to transmit the power from the LV panels to 44 SMDB’s, 21 MCC, and 125 DB’s.
- Supply & installation of an addressable FA system consisting of 28 Loops (5,600 Detector devices) and different types of modules for the required interfaces.
- Deliver BMS system fully integrating with Mechanical and Electrical systems.
- Supply & installation of the ICT System with 20 IDF racks and 1 MDF’s racks, providing 2,580 data outlets for various systems- not limited to ACS and CCTV.
Design and Build for Al Asmakh Areas 02 & 03

The project covers the design, renovation, and construction of buildings at Al Asmakh Areas 02 & 03, that are of the oldest quarters in Doha city-old Doha. The area contains various types and scales of buildings, from ground floor small buildings to multi-story buildings that reach 10 levels with a basement. Also, the type of construction varies from simple construction buildings made of stone walls and wood roofs to reinforced concrete frame buildings. The significant challenge in this project is to apply the latest technology of the different MEP systems while preserving the heritage & legacy of that area. Multiple workshops are currently going on with different stakeholders, including our technical engineers, to produce a unique design overcoming those challenges. BMECo`s scope covers the MEP works inside the buildings that is not limited to; HVAC system (mini splits units & VRF system), firefighting systems (fire extinguisher, sprinklers with fire pump & clean agent system), water supply systems along with domestic equipment, switch gear system to transmit the required power to the various mechanical systems in addition to a wide range of light fittings to reflect the heritage and luxury of the area.
Design, Engineering & Construction of Multi-Purpose Buildings at Q1-4 & Q5-6

The project consists of 4 buildings, 2 each in Q1-4 & Q5-6 location with a total build up area of 690 m².
Mechanical Scopes
- Total of 4 air handling units with total capacity of 90 TR.
- Ventilation system with a total number of 8 fans.
- Domestic water pumps with total number of 3 sets & one submersible pump set.
Electrical Scopes
- Design, engineering and delivery of power distribution system to energize the utility loads and mechanical equipment.
- Comprehensive solutions for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) .
- Installation, T&C and graphics upgrade of Emergency Response System such as Fire Alarm, Public Address and Fire Fighting with the existing system components.
- Delivering multiple levels of integration between the ELV systems such as Access Control, CCTV, Time Attendance, road barriers and blocks.
Construction of NCO and Soldiers Club, Mess and Central Laundry (CPC-07d)
Client: Internal Security Force (LEKHWIYA)

A single level facility of a contemporary architectural- over an approximate of 25,960 m² total built-up area, located within ISF Duhail Camp.
Mechanical Scopes
- ETS room with cooling capacity 2,618 TR through 15 AHU, 4 FAHU, 3 ECU & 52 FCU.
- Ventilation equipment: a total of 46 supply, exhaust, smoke ventilation, pressurization & destratification fans.
- Hot water system through hot water boiler stations consisting of 3 boilers with 600 BHP capacity, 12 hot water calorifier of total capacity 52,000 liters.
- Steam boilers for laundry systems consisting of 2 steam boilers (1,542 kg/hr each).
Electrical Scopes
- Switchgear Package: MV Panels, 3 transformers 1,600 KVA, 1 prime diesel generator (1,600 KW) connected to 3 MDB, 14 SMDB’s, 7 MCC & 28 VFD, 2 FP, and 48 DB’s.
- Delivered BMS system with integration with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Supply & installation of an addressable FA system consisting of 16 loops (1,899 detector devices) and different types of modules for the required interfaces.
- ICT System with the 30 IDF racks, 2 MDF’s racks for 2,580 data outlets.
Doha Grand Park – Phase 1 – Underground Car Parking 5 and 6

Mechanical Scopes
- Cooling VRV system: 8 indoor & outdoor units ,1 AHU ,11 VAV & 130 duct split units.
- Ventilation equipment: a total of 129 exhaust, fresh & smoke ventilation fans (767,512 CFM for smoke exhaust and 713,484 CFM for fresh air)
- Firefighting sprinkler systems with 2 set of fire pumps (1,250 GPM), and 12 rooms of FM200 system.
- Fuel system through 2 plant rooms, with 2 tanks capacity of 55,000 liters each.
Electrical Scopes
- Installed 2 generators (1,600 KVA each), 8 LV panels, 4 transformers, and 4 MV panels for power reliability and stability.
- Implemented comprehensive CCTV system with 420 cameras and 4 workstations with full integration with MOI and Albida Workstation
- Automatic detection Car parking Management System.
- Delivered BMS system with integration with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Installed and terminated the ICT system.
- Seamless integration with existing systems for access control, public address with Albida Main Workstation.
Doha Grand Park – Phase 1 – Underground Car Parking 7A and 7B

Facilities for the National Security Shield

This project consists of 3 buildings, where we have completed all the Mechanical services.
Main Building
- Dedicated chilled water plant consisting of 3 chillers duty & 1 standby with a cooling capacity of 367 TR each, & a total of 40 AHU, FAHU, 27 FCU, & 145 VAV.
- Ventilation equipment: a total of 171 supply, exhaust & pressurization fans.
- Firefighting systems with two sets of fire pump stations (1250 GPM +750 GPM) in addition to 7 FM200 rooms.
Building OP1 & Building OP5
- OP1 is conditioned with 98 TR cooling capacity through 2 chillers on duty & 1 standby & total number of 7 AHU, 6 FCU, & 26 VAV.
- OP5 is conditioned with 47 TR cooling capacity through 4 dedicated package units and 30 duct split units.
- Firefighting systems with a set of turbine type fire pump station (750 GPM) in addition to 2 FM200 rooms for each building.
MEP Works of Mosque at Barzan Camp Phases 1 & 2
